If you’ve never heard of it before, chances are it’s been happening in Bangkok for quite some time. But Bangkok is not the only city in Thailand to offer premium gay venues and entertainment, Pattaya and even tourist darling Phuket lay at the end of the rainbow.

DJ Station - The most famous dance bar in Silom Soi 2, this hot spot has been a dancing queen favourite for years. Enjoy the ultra hip mix of the newest music from around the world and even a cabaret show, starting at 11 p.m. that rates second to none. All three floors fill up fast with hot sweaty men, but bring some eye drops as smoking is still permitted inside the bar. Open 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. everyday. Entrance is free. Silom Soi 2, take Silom subway.
Tawan Go Go Bar - Tawan Bar offers up a fresh serving of bulging biceps, washboard stomachs and much more every night of the week. Come early to catch the dance shows, drag comedies and other performances sure to blow the buns off your burger. Open 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. everyday. 2/2 Soi Thantawan, Surawong Road. Entrance is free. Take the Sala Daeng Skytrain
Gay Nightlife in Pattaya
Tiffany's - Southeast Asia’s oldest ladyboy cabaret featuring the best hip swivelling this side of Bangkok is a must see for anyone visiting the country. While most of the performers are transgenders or cross dressers, the themes of the show are suitable for all ages. Performances begin at 6 p.m.,7.30 p.m. and 9 p.m. nightly.
Boyz Boyz Boyz Bar – The name pretty much says it all. This popular club is a favourite among the local crowd and visitors. The large bar features late night dancing as well as a nightly "Divas and Dudes Show". Pattayaland Soi 3, next to Ambiance hotel.
Gay Nightlife in Phuket
Paradise Complex Patong - One of the most lively gay areas in Phuket. This complex, located in front of the Royal Paradise Hotel contains over 50 venues ranging from karaokes, saunas and guesthouses to raunchy go-go bars, restaurants and discos.
Boat Bar – Easily the best drag show in town. Be prepared to be wowed by Cher, Liza Minelli, Whitney and Rihanna, as well as some fine looking male back up dancers. One well-choreographed show not to be missed in Phuket. Shows start at midnight and again at 2 a.m.. Entrance is free and drinks are reasonably priced. After the show stay for dancing when the Boat Bar reverts back to being one of the most swinging nightclubs in Phuket. located within the Paradise Complex.
Whether you seek a Go-Go Boy show or a day at one of the famous spas and massage parlours, there’s no better place to be a gay tourist than Thailand.
