Thailand's Most Famous Island Resort Continues to Offer More Rooms
Phuket, Thailand's most famous island resort, continues to attract visitors to its shores, from the budget conscious gap year student to the rich and famous who crave the privacy afforded by places like the Amanpuri, The Residence and The Chedi.
The beaches are rightly famous. The long stretch of white sands of the Bang Tao Beach, a tin mining area sensitively restored with the mining craters now serving as lakes and lagoons has many hotels fronting the sea. Phuket can be humid at certain times of the year, and the provision of motorized transport is a welcome addition to the hotel's facilities.
The Beach Club offers an ideal haven in which to relax and refresh. Complimentary iced water, tropical fruits and iced towels are provided as part of the service. Delectable snacks and cocktails can be ordered while lazing on a sumptuous lounger, taking in the breathtaking views that the island is famous for.
There are plenty of sports for guests of an active disposition, including golf, scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, beachcombing. Cooking classes, shopping, and exploring are also on offer.
